Man Stumbles on Beach, Gets Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lake Bluff Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robert Selbe, 23, of Lincolnshire was arrested July 18 for possession of alcohol on the beach, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. Police arrested Selbe after receiving a complaint from the Lake Bluff Park District of an “intoxicated subject stumbling around the beach” who refused to leave. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. August 6 in Park City. 

Drivers’ License Infractions and More 

Thomas Chamberlain, 46 of Chicago was arrested July 21 for driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. After stopping Chamberlain for improper lane usage in downtown Lake Bluff, police learned his license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 3 in Park City.

Carmelo Reyes, 25, of Highland Park was arrested July 21 for driving without a valid license, failure to signal for a turn, failure to update the secretary of state of his address and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. After stopping Reyes for failing to signal a turn at 200 Rockland Road, police learned of the other violations. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court t 10:30 a.m. August 6 in Park City. 

Porfirio Castro-Tapia, 41, of Kenosha was arrested July 18 for driving without a valid license and improper lane usage, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. After stopping him for improper lane usage at West Scranton and Lincoln Avenues, police discovered he did not have a license. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 3 in Park City.
