Mariani’s Experiences Third Theft in Four Months

Theft
Seven trailers were broken into during the night of July 6 at Mariani’s Landscaping, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. This is the third theft in four months. Police are waiting for an inventory of the items to determine the value of the missing property.

Gerardo Mendez-Vergara, 19, of Waukegan was arrested July 7 for driving with a suspended license and speeding, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. Police clocked him driving 74 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone on Highway 41 south of Highway 176. After stopping him, Police learned his license was suspended. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court on August 6.
Bertha Peralto, 47, of North Chicago was arrested July 8 for driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. Police stopped her after observing her sway between lanes without signaling. After stopping her, Police learned her license was suspended. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court August 6.
