One-Shoed Pedestrian Prompts Call to Police

There were also some disputes between neighbors in the latest edition of the Lake Bluff police blotter.

Missing shoe causes concern

Offices responded to Green Bay Road north of Lake Bluff Elementary School at 2 p.m. April 20 for a report of a man walking in the roadway with one shoe on. The man told police he had broken a sandal while out for a walk and was almost home.

A cyclist was injured when they had an accident with a vehicle at Rockland and Waukegan roads at 7:30 a.m. April 21. They cyclist was taken to the hospital.

Phone scam

A resident received a call April 24 from someone claiming there was an arrest warrant for her husband. An officer researched the number and saw that it was connected with a scam to obtain money to resolve the warrant.

Neighbor disputes

Officers were called to the 700 block of East Prospect Avenue April 25 at 5 p.m. for a dispute between neighbors over property lines.

Officers were called to the 400 block of East Witchwood Lane at 6:15 p.m. April 25 for a dispute between neighbors over one of the neighbor’s dogs.
