When will eminent domain or some other law for municipal use or public use get rid of the apartment building on the Northwest corner of Washington & Touhy? It is an eye sore and not good for real estate values in Park Ridge. It is one of the first things people see driving in from the east to Uptown. The owner obviously rents to anyone he can get and does not care what the buildings appearance is. IT has been getting worse & worse every year. It now looks like a tenanment building from the inner city , all kinds of people going in and out all times of the night. It appearance is not a compliment to the new Whole Foods or anything investors are putting into Park Ridge. I think the owner even lives in Park Ridge ,far enough away from this building . Maybe an investor can make it into something good and productive for Park Ridge instead of one of the worse things in Uptown.
