Police Respond to Injured Cat, Find Polecat

Officers responded at 9:58 a.m. Sept. 11 to the 300 block of east Woodland Road for a report of an injured cat in the roadway. When they arrived, they found an injured skunk. Lake County Animal Control was contacted to remove the skunk.

An officer responded to Mawman Park for a report of a brown German shepherd on the loose. The officer located the dog, which did not have any tags. It was turned over to Knollwood Animal Hospital.

Police responded to a report of an injured cat at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 21 on a driveway on the 300 block of Woodland Road. Officers were unable to locate the cat’s owner and took it to Knollwood Animal Hospital.

An officer responded to a report of a dead squirrel on a sidewalk at 6:31 p.m. Sept. 21 near East Center and Glen avenues. The officer removed the squirrel and disposed of it at the public works facility.

A driver reported hitting a deer at 6:14 p.m. Sept. 24 on Green Bay Road at Thorn Valley Road. Police could not locate the deer in the area.

A resident reported catching a stray black lab at 11:28 a.m. Sept. 24 on the 600 block of Evanston Avenue. An officer contacted the owner and the dog was returned.
