Police Blotter: Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Residential Burglary

Driving While Suspended, Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer, Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Marshall G. Wolbers, 57, of Genoa City, Wis. was arrested and held for bond hearing on Sept. 14, according to Lake Forest Police reports. 

Police said that an officer attempted to stop Wolbers for a routine traffic offense, but Wolbers refused to stop. He later struck a vehicle while fleeing the scene. The vehicle he was driving was reported stolen in Grand Chute, Wis. in July. Wolbers fled into Highland Park and then Deerfield, where he was arrested, police said. Wolbers faces additional charges through the Deerfield Police and in Wisconsin.

Residential Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools
Sherry L. Shea, 43, of Gurnee was arrested Sept. 12 for residential burglary and possession of burglary tools, according to Lake Forest Police reports. 

The report noted that a realtor representing the home reported to police that Shea may have broken into the home. She was located with a pry bar and admitted to the police to prying open the home and removing items, police said.

Aggravated Battery, Trespassing
Tracy A. Rasmussen, 47, of Lake Forest was arrested Sept. 12 for aggravated battery and trespassing, according to Lake Forest Police reports. 
Police said they responded to a report of domestic trouble. During the investigation, the subject received a trespass warning and then pushed a police officer in the back, causing him to stumble forward. She was held for bond hearing and appeared in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. on Sept. 13 in Waukegan.
