Driving While Suspended, Illegal Control of Cannabis, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol
Marvin E. Harris, 33, of Riverdale, is being charged with driving while suspended, illegal control of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His bond is set at $120, and his hearing is on Oct. 16 in Park City.
Harris was stopped on Route 41 for speeding. After it was found that he had a suspended drivers license, he was taken into custody. Both cannabis and open alcohol were located inside of the car.
Driving Under the Influence, Improper Lane Usage, Improper Turn, Failure to Signal
Barbara A. Seawall, 43, of Vernon Hills is being charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, improper turn, failure to signal, according to Lake Forest Police reports. Her bond is set at $3,000, and her hearing is on Oct. 23 in Waukegan.
Seawall was pulled over when an officer responded to a cellular complaint that her vehicle was swerving in traffic. When the officer pulled her over, she admitted to taking one or more prescription drugs that might have influenced her ability to drive. She failed the sobriety test and was taken to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital for further testing.
Driving Under the Influence (felony), Driving While Revoked (felony), Failure to Signal When Required, Improper Lane Usage
Omar V. Perez, 28, of Gurnee, is being charged with two felonies – driving under the influence and driving while revoked – as well as failure to signal when required and improper lane usage, according to Lake Forest Police reports. His bond will be set at a bond hearing, and his court date is yet to be set.
Officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver who left his work after arriving for work intoxicated. The officer stopped Perez on Green Bay Road and stopped him for improper lane usage and failure to signal. After being stopped, he attempted to switch seats with a female passenger in the car. Perez failed all field sobriety testing, and refused to complete a breath test. (As a result, his driving privileges will be suspended for one year.)
