Suspicious Circumstances
An officer located a vehicle parked at the 70 block of East Scranton Avenue at 3:51 a.m. Feb. 25 and observed a male and a woman asleep inside with the vehicle shut off. The officer knocked on the glass to announce his presence. The officer advised the driver that he could not park on the street and asked the driver for his driver's license. The officer cited the driver for parking on the street after 1 a.m. He told the driver that they could not sleep in the vehicle and gave directions for the By The Way Motel.

Found Bicycle
While on patrol, an officer located a dark blue Trek 820 mountain bike Feb. 23 on the ramp leading down from the Lake Bluff Train Depot, 600 N. Sheridan Road. It was logged into evidence, and had not been reported stolen. The same bicycle had been reported earlier in the day as being abandoned under Sheridan Road, but the officer was unable to locate the bicycle at that time upon arrival.

Down Power Line
An officer responded to the intersection of Crescent Drive and Moffett Road Feb. 21 for a report of a tree down on a power line. The line broke off north of Crescent Drive. The road had to be blocked off until Commonwealth Edison arrived to cut the power to the line.
Suspicious Phone Call
An officer took a report on the 300 block of Belle Foret Drive Feb. 21. Complainant said a small child called their home phone number four times. One time the small child stated that their car was going to catch fire. Complainant wanted officer to call child and take no further enforcement. Officer was able to make contact with the owner of the cell phone number and she stated she will advise the child not to play with her cell phone.
Suspicious Circumstance
Officer observed a vehicle at the north end of the Lake Bluff Train Depot at 600 N. Sheridan Road on Feb. 20 back up and then going forward multiple times. Officer met with the driver and passenger and determined it was a father teaching his daughter how to drive.
LAKE FOREST
Theft
Ryan A. Kaeseberg, 22, 42 Spring Valley, Streamwood, was charged with theft if approximately $30 worth of bread sticks from a Lake Forest College campus cafe Feb. 20. Kaeseberg was released on a $120 personal recognizance bond pending a March 16 court date in Park City.
