Police Find Man with Towel on Head, Give Him a Ride

Police received a report that multiple people inside a blue minivan were throwing garbage out of the vehicle at 8:36 a.m. Nov. 20 near Ravine Forest Drive and Sheridan Road. An officer checked the area and did not find any garbage or the vehicle.

An officer responded to Sheridan Road near Shore Acres Road for a report of a suspicious man who was wearing a towel on his head at 2:24 p.m. Nov. 15. The officer located the man, who requested a ride to the village’s southern limits. The person cleared the police state database and was given a ride.

An officer responded to the 900 block of Sherwood Drive at 10:52 a.m. Nov. 9 after police received a hang-up 911 call. A man told the officer that his child had pushed the emergency button inside the elevator.

An officer responded to a report of found drug paraphernalia at 3:34 p.m. Nov. 8 at Forest Bluff School. The item was found in the wooded area at the north end of the property. The officer found no other contraband in the area. The item was entered into evidence to be destroyed.

A Lake Bluff officer, along with firefighters from Lake Bluff, Lake Forest and Knollwood responded to a report of possible smoke in the second floor women’s restroom at 9:28 a.m. Nov. 7 in the Lake Bluff Park District’s main building. It was determined that a heating/cooling unit had failed.
