Police Look for Clown Driving Truck

SUSPICIOUS INCIDENTS

Police received a report of a suspicious container marked “poison” on Sept. 6 on East Sheridan Road. The officer located an empty pest control container that appeared to have been there for some time. At the resident’s request, the officer threw the container in the garbage.

An officer responded to a report of a homeless man possibly living under the Green Bay Road bridge at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 4. The officer located the man’s belongings and determined they belong to the same person who had been previously living at the closed Shephard Chevrolet site. The officer notified the complainant that the area is in the Lake County Sheriff’s Office’s jurisdiction and notified that department.

Police received a report of a person wearing a clown mask throwing items from the driver’s side of a black pickup truck at 6:51 p.m. Aug. 31 on Route 41. Lake Forest police stopped the vehicle on the 100 block of Route 41. No complaints were signed and the driver was released after clearing the police state database for warrants.

A resident of the 600 block of Maple reported someone removed his “No Trespassing” signs from their posts between Aug. 28-30.

THREAT

A resident reported Sept. 9 an online commenter threatened to beat her up after she left a negative review on a Lake Bluff restaurant’s Yelp page. Police initiated an extra watch on her home.
