Police Look into Van Drivers Who Yelled 'Candy' at Children in Lake Bluff

Theft

On June 18, officers responded to a public safety building for a report of a realtors lock box that was taken in the 700 block of Mountain Avenue. 

Suspicious person

On June 18, officers responded to the 300 block of West Sheridan Place for a report of a Green Chrysler van driving down the street yelling "candy" at children playing in the area. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the van. The complainant stated that the van was occupied by two white males believed to be high school age.

Assist ambulance

On June 20, an officer responded to Blodgett Avenue for a report of a woman having difficulty breathing. The officer arrived and determined a piece of cake had dislodged from her throat. An ambulance and EMTs arrived also. The woman refused transportation to the emergency room.
