A Buffalo Grove resident reported a stray cat ran into his home and under a bed. Officers responded and after a period of negotiating, were able to capture the gray cat.

An Arlington Heights man was arrested after police say he threatened four landscapers with a Samurai-style sword, by raising it in a threatening manner toward them, as they were working.

They'll never catch me! Ouch! They'll never catch me! Ouch!

A security agent at Golf Mills Shopping Center told police he watched on video surveillance as a Hoffman Estates man removed a pair of New Balance shoes from a display shelf and put them on his feet, then put his old shoes in the shoebox, then leave the store. He exited the store without paying for the shoes.

Police responded and after driving him to the station, found a clear plastic sandwich bag containing seven hypodermic needles and the bottom of an aluminum soda can in his pants, police said.

Milk didn't do this body good

After an argument on Facebook, an offender went to the victim's residence in Skokie and poured milk on the inside of the victim's vehicle and then hit her with the milk jug.

Sometimes opportunity gets tired of knocking

Buffalo Grove police received multiple calls this week from residents who found keys on their property. Police determined the keys "were attached to an advertisement from a car dealership in Arlington Heights."

Man's claim to be 'official underwear inspector' did seem strange

A woman told police she was in a Skokie store when a man attempted to look up her skirt by having a mirror attached to his shoe.
