Police Searching for Suspects in String of Overnight Burglaries

At least one home was burglarized, three cars were stolen and 10 were broken into on Devonshire, Larchmont and Burton. Lake Forest police are seeking information as well as any security footage from the area.

The following is from Lake Forest Deputy Chief of Police Karl Walldorf:

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 30, 2014, we experienced a series of related incidents on the west side of Lake Forest. Prior to 4 AM, approximately ten (10) cars were burglarized in the 1600 block of West Devonshire Lane in the southwest corner of our town. It is possible one residence was burglarized as well.

A homeowner’s Honda was stolen from a driveway on Devonshire, then apparently driven to the 800 block of West Larchmont, where it was abandoned. In the 800 block of West Larchmont Lane, a residential burglary was committed and property stolen. In addition, two cars, a BMW and a Lexus, were stolen from this home. An additional residential burglary was committed in the 600 block of North Burton Drive, which is nearby.

At this moment, the only suspect or vehicle description we have is from a resident who saw a large, light-colored pickup truck parked and running on West Larchmont about the time of the burglaries. It left the area as the resident approached it.
