Resident Leaves Door Open, Burglar Walks In

Burglary 

A burglar made an unforced entry into a garage Tuesday in the 100 block of East Witchwood Lane taking a number of construction tools, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

DUI 

Mrio J. Montejo, Jr., 42 of North Chicago was arrested August 5 for felony (Class 2) driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving with a suspended/revoked license and improper lane usage, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

Police were called to investigate a crash in the vicinity of Sheridan and Shore Acres Road and discovered the car in the trees with Montejo inside. The Lake Bluff Fire Department was called and transported Montejo to Lake Forest Hospital for evaluation. Police determined he had been driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Bobby Maye, 41, of Waukegan was arrested August 4 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a seatbelt, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

Police received a call that there was a motorist “driving all over the road” northbound on Highway 41. Police located the driver, determined there was probable cause to stop him and determined he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. August 23 in Waukegan.
