Semi-Automatic Pistol Stolen from Lake Forest Home

Aggravated battery

On March 16, Austin J. Severson, 21, of Bellevue, Wash., was arrested on a warrant for aggravated battery stemming from an investigation into an incident which occurred in the earlymorning hours of March 3. According to witnesses, after a disagreement with the 21‐year‐old male victim, Severson threw a full can of beer at the victim’s face, causing an injury that required numerousstitchesto repair. Severson was processed and releasedwith an April court date after posting bond.

Illegal transportation of alcohol

Ivan Piedra, 25, of North Chicago, was stopped by an officer for speeding (70/55) on Route 41. He was arrested for driving on a suspended license and also cited for having an open container of beer in his car.

Theft

A resident reported unknown person(s) took a Colt .32 semi‐automatic pistol from a shelf in his home between February 24 and March 10, 2013 while he was away on vacation.
