Speeding 20 MPH Over Limit Leads to Arrest
The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Benito Garcia-Mendoza, 43, of Waukegan, was stopped for driving 78 in a 55 mph zone at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 4 at Route 41 and Gage Lane, and taken into custody when police discovered he was driving with a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond and given a March 18 court date.
Abimel Solano, 20, of Highland Park was stopped for diving a vehicle with expired registration on Feb. 2 at 8:45 p.m. at Old Elm and Sheridan roads. He was released on $1,500 bond and given a Feb. 18 court date.
Robert J. Babcock, 45, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, was stopped for driving a vehicle without valid registration and was taken into custody when the officer discovered he was driving on a suspended driver’s license, Jan. 30 at 2:40 p.m. at Route 41 and Gage Lane. He ws released on $1,500 bond and given a March 4 court date.
