Green Bay Road, one of the main arteries between Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, is closed between Laurel Avenue and Alden Lane due to tree debris on the road and a dangling power line.

Crews have already been in the area and have moved tree limbs to the side of the road, but the power line issue remains.

Thanks for the updates Patch! Any idea when we're going to get our power back?

Hi Sue. ComEd is saying 600,000 customers in the greater Chicago area are without power, so they are already saying days before power restored. My guess is that they will update it later today once they see how much progress their crews make. In any case, it may be like the last time or worse.
