Suspected Burglary Leads to Warrant Arrest

Two people were also arrested for DUI

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department. 

Suspicious person

An officer saw a suspicious person walking around Midwest Computer Recyclery May 11. The person said he was dropping off an old computer.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Central Skokie Highway at 5 p.m. May 15 to assist the Lake County Sheriff’s Department with a possible burglary in progress. The officer detained two subjects at the scene. The sheriff’s deputies contacted the homeowner, who said the two had permission to be there. One was let go, but the other was arrested when a records check showed she had two active warrants.

An officer initiated a traffic stop at Route 41 and Washington Avenue at 4 a.m. May 17 and arrested the driver for DUI.

An officer stopped a driver at Route 41 at 11:30 p.m. May 17 for improper lane usage. The officer determined the driver was driving under the influence and without a valid license.
