Suspicious Circumstances at the Library Draw Police

Police also investigated multiple 911 calls made in error.

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department.

 

Suspicious circumstances at the library

Officers responded to the Lake Bluff Library at 8:30 p.m. May 9 after someone called to say she walked into the building and found all the lights on, but no employees there. The library director explained to the officer that the library closes at 6 p.m. on Fridays but he had not yet locked the doors because he was still working inside.

Suspicious circumstance

Officers responded to the 300 block of East Prospect Avenue for juveniles yelling outside at 1 a.m. May 4. The juveniles agreed to go inside for the night.

Traffic stop

Officers arrested a driver for speeding, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at 4 p.m. May 4 on northbound Route 41.

911 investigation

Officers responded to the 0-100 block of East Scranton Avenue to investigate multiple 911 calls. It turns out an employee had accidentally dialed 91 while trying to dial out using 9.
