Suspicious Photographer at Public Pool Draws Police

And a driver was arrested for DUI at Scranton and Sheridan.

The following information is from the Lake Bluff Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DUI

An officer conducted a traffic stop just past midnight July 7 at West Scranton and Sheridan for improper lane usage. The driver was then arrested for DUI.

Police were called to the Lake Bluff Park District at 6 p.m. July 7 for a report of a man taking pictures. Officers met with the pool manager who said she was approached by a parent who told her that a man was taking pictures of the pool and the parent was concerned he might be photographing children in the pool.

The officer talked with the photographer who said he is a painter who takes photos of public areas so he can later paint the scene. He gave the officers consent to look at the pictures on his camera and officers did not see anything inappropriate or illegal.

Driver-biker fight

Police responded to the 100 block of Moffett Road at 8:30 p.m. July 10 for a report of a bicyclist and driver verbally arguing.

Underage drinking at the beach

Officers responded to Lillian Dells at 10:30 p.m. July 10 for a complaint of people at the beach. They found two people at the beach in possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor.
