Officer Matt McGannon of the Park Ridge Police Department will facilitate a Police-And-Community-Together (PACT) town hall meeting Jan. 29. The department is partnering with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital on the event and it will be held at the hospital.
Police will focus the discussion on traffic issues and recent criminal activity, the department said in a press release. Residents will be able to voice concerns, and the police and hospital public safety department will discuss their response strategies.
The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at 1675 W. Dempster, in the Olson Auditorium, behind Yacktman Pavilion. Lutheran General Hospital will provide light refreshments and free parking in the main garage located in front of the hospital for those attending the meeting. The main garage is most easily accessed from Luther Lane.
The meeting is targeted towards those residents and business owners who reside or work in the department’s northern most police beat, area 1, but is open to everyone.
Area One is basically all of Park Ridge north of Oakton Street, except for the portion east of Greenwood Avenue. There are five areas altogether.
