Taxi Passenger Hits Driver with Cane, Cat Gets Private Exit

ANIMALS

Police received a report of two large poodles on the loose at 3:59 p.m. Nov. 28 on the 100 block of Moffett Road. An officer checked the area and was unable to locate the dogs.

An officer on patrol noticed a long 2x4 leaning against the side of a building, leading to the second floor balcony where the sliding glass door was cracked open at 10:12 a.m. Nov. 27 on the 200 block of West Sheridan Place. The officer contacted the homeowner, who said he had placed the board there for his cat. He told the officer he would remove it.

An officer responded to the areas of Green Bay Road and West Sheridan Place for a report of two stray dogs at 8:35 a.m. Nov. 26. The officer captured the two dogs — a golden retriever puppy and a brown Sharpai — and took them to Knollwood Animal Hospital.

Officers responded to Walgreens, 12700 Rockland Road, to assist the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with a report of a taxi passenger who struck the driver with her cane. Lake Bluff officers stood by for cover until arrangements were made to get the passenger to her destination in Waukegan.
