Teen Arrested for Possession of Cannabis

Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

Police responded to a report of a subject sleeping in the common room of a residence hall at Lake Forest College. They located Adam A. Horzowski, 19, of Chicago, and were able to wake him. The officers immediately detected a strong odor of cannabis and located marijuana on Horszowki. He was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia and faces a May court date.

Violation of an order of protection

Officers responded to a business in the 1900 block of Field Court for a reportthat Esteban E. Garcia, 39, of Round Lake Beach, was on the property in violation of an order of protection.Officers learned Garcia had left the area and confirmed the order of protection. They located Garcia at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan where he was appearing for a court date on a prior arrest. Garcia was taken into custody and later told police he had visited the victim at her work to speak with her one last time.Garcia was transported to Lake County Jailfor a bond hearing.

Fugitive from justice

Police responded to a home in the 1100 block of Longmeadow for a report of a dispute between the homeowner and her caregiver. Officers discovered Michelle L. Allen, 31, of Mundelein, the caregiver, was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for theft and forgery from Kenosha, Wisc. The warrant was confirmed through Kenosha County and Allen was taken into custody and transported to Lake County Jailto await extradition to Wisconsin.
