Teenage Cyclist Struck, Driver Charged

The 14 year old was not injured.

Teenage bicyclist struck, arrest made

Police responded to a hit-and-run accident in which a minivan hit a 14-year-old bicyclist at Westleigh and Green Bay at 12:45 p.m. June 9. An officer located the vehicle involved, which was driven by Hector Nunez, 22, of the 6800 block of West Addison in Chicago.

He was taken into custody and charged with disobeying a traffic control device, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond with a July 1 court date.

Taeveon J. Taylor, 23, of the 4800 block of North 19th Place in Milwaukee, was stopped at 1:15 a.m. July 6 at Route 41 and Old Elm Road for driving a car with suspended license plates. He was taken into custody when the officer learned he was driving on a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond with an Aug. 19 court date.

Lakeidra R. Chalmers, 33, of the 2400 block of 24th Place in North Chicago, was stopped at 1:30 a.m. July 5 at Route 41 and Deerpath for driving without a headlight. She was taken into custody when found to be driving with a suspended license. She was released on $1,500 bond and given an Aug. 19 court date.

Dylan M. Sylvester, 22, of the 500 block of Madison in Waukegan, was stopped at 5 p.m. at Route 41 and Westleigh, for driving a car with expired registration. He was taken into custody when he was found to be driving with a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond and given a July 15 court date.

Cornell L. Ford, 42, of the 900 block of Pioneer Road in Waukegan, was stopped at 3 a.m. June 20 at Route 41 and Westleigh, for driving a car with expired registration. He was taken into custody when his license was found to be suspended. He was released on $1,500 bond with a July 15 court date.

Aaron N. Bussell, 30, of the 1700 block of Sheridan Road in North Chicago, was stopped at 3 p.m. June 4 at Route 41 and Gage for driving a car with suspended license plates. He was taken into custody when he was found to be driving on a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond and given a July 15 court date.

Danny Delgado, 36, was stopped for a traffic violation at 10 p.m. June 3 at Waukegan and Westleigh and taken into custody for driving on a suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond with a July 15 court date.

Driving with a revoked license

Police responded to a traffic crash at Route 41 and Westleigh just before midnight June 15. Shawnee L. Carlisle, 42, of the 900 block of Waukegan Road was involved and was taken into custody when found to be driving on a revoked license. She was released on $1,500 bond and given an Aug. 5 court date.
