Weaving Car Leads to Drug Bust

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lake Bluff Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Possession of Cannabis and more 

Audrey Parker, 39, of North Chicago was arrested June 2 for obstructing a police officer, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license revoked, improper lane usage and driving without a seat belt, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

A passenger in the car, Wilbur Payne, 35, of North Chicago was arrested at the same time for possession of Cannabis, according to the report.

Police observed Parker improperly using lanes on Highway 41 near the north Village limits and then observed her trying to slide into the passenger seat during the traffic stop, according to the report. That was when police saw her without a seat belt, found an open bottle of alcohol and learned her license had been revoked. 

During the same stop, police noticed an odor of burnt cannabis coming from Payne, according to the report. Police observed a marijuana cigarette next to Payne. They were both released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. July 2 in Park City.

Theft 

A lap top computer was reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of Green Bay Road in the week proceeding June 3, according to Lake Bluff Police reports

Criminal Damage to Property 

The driver’s side window of a vehicle was broken out Wednesday in the parking lot of the Lake Bluff railroad station, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. Nothing was taken.
