A Decade of Keeping You Active

Festivities at last Saturday's 10th anniversary of the began with a twist, a stretch, and a punch as visitors participated in an array of wellness programs, including a free health screening, while the kids played games and had their faces painted. 

For those procrastinators still sitting on the New Year-resolution fence, the Recreation Center offered a sampling of their fitness classes for all fitness levels — from boot camp and total-body fitness to yoga and kick boxing.

In addition to helping with program enrollment, Park District staff was on hand to help participants purchase pool and beach passes. The first 100 summer-camp registrations received a free Park District drawstring bag.
