Barkhausen Receives Endorsements for Lake County Board Republican Primary

Former Lake Bluff trustee earns nod from local, party officials.

 

, a candidiate for the Lake County Board District 13 seat, has received endorsements from local public and Republican Party officials and residents in the new district stretching from Lake Bluff and Lake Michigan north and west to the eastern border of Grayslake.

Barkhausen will be opposed by former Lake Bluff Village trustee and Gurnee real estate broker in the March 20 primary.

Public supporters of Barkhausen’s candidacy at this early stage of the campaign include six of the eight current elected Lake Bluff village officials, all of the current Shields Township officials who live in the district, and all of the 15 current Republican precinct committeemen and precinct committeemen candidates in the district except one from Gurnee who is also a county board candidate.
