The scheduled closure of the ramp will allow Metra to implement Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades at both ends of the existing "zig-zag" access ramp. The ramp is scheduled to reopen Friday (Aug. 26). The work will also require the closure of the main line sidewalk along the north side of Route 176 today (Aug. 24) and Thursday (Aug. 25).

The main line sidewalk will be closed at the point where the ramp connects with the sidewalk along Route 176.  Those using the west train station parking lot will continue to be able to access the stairs to both inbound and outbound tracks throughout the project.
