Lake Forest Mayor Named to Economic Committee

Donald Schoenheider will serve on the Regional Economic Development Committee of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus.

Lake Forest Mayor Donald Schoenheider has been selected to serve on the Regional Economic Development Committee of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus.  Schoenheider will represent the Northwest Municipal Conference and the City of Lake Forest in this role, the city announced Wednesday.

The committee will be the main point of contact with World Business Chicago on the Plan for Economic Growth and Jobs which was launched more than a year ago. The plan includes elements which impact the entire metropolitan region in terms of either economic development policy or strategy. The Economic Development Committee will be the primary interface with World Business Chicago and provide advice and counsel.

“I am excited to serve on this committee with fellow mayors and bring some of its discussions and knowledge back to the City of Lake Forest,” Schoenheider said.
