Officials hope this volunteer effort by residents will allow the City to continue to provide safe, potable water without having to implement a more restrictive plan.

If the drought continues and the City’s water system is not capable of meeting daily demand, the City will enforce the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ Odd/Even Water Regulations, where residents with even-numbered addresses may water only on even-numbered days, and residents with odd-numbered addresses may water only on odd-numbered days.
