Lake Forest Remembers Former Mayor Kent Chandler

Lake Forest officials remembered a former mayor and offered sympathy to his family during Monday's City Council meeting.

Kent Chandler Jr., who served as mayor from 1970 to 1973, died Sept. 7.

Chandler, a lifelong resident of Lake Forest. was a "kind and gracious man who deeply loved his family, community and fellow residents," Mayor Don Schoenheider said.

The City Council adopted a resolution that acknowledged Chandler's impact in the community and extended sympathy to his relatives, who were in attendance.
