Lake Forest Residents Asked to Weigh in on Business District

Residents have until Sept. 17 to complete an online survey regarding Lake Forest's downtown shopping and dining district. Results will be presented Sept. 19.

Do you have an opinion about Lake Forest’s business district?

The Lake Forest Downtown Shopping & Dining survey is underway. Residents are asked to weigh in by Sept. 17 by responding to questions about what’s going well and what’s not in the central business district, what shopping and dining opportunities they’d like to see and what kinds of evening events they’d like to attend. Click here to take the survey.

The questions are a follow-up to the city’s 2008 survey. Results from the Sept. 19 survey will be presented at a community engagement forum scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Gorton Community Center.

Hosted by The City of Lake Forest, community engagement forums take place monthly at Gorton Community to give residents informal opportunities to discuss and debate local issues.

Each month, an alderman will lead a discussion on a different topic identified in the recently-adopted Strategic Plan for 2013-18.

Community engagement forums are not televised live, and no decisions will be made. The purpose is to collectively develop an enhanced clarity of each issue, its intricacies, and a consensus on how to proceed. Interested participants do not need to make reservations.
