Morrison Poll Shows 13-Point Lead Over Friedman

State Senate candidate releases information showing her ahead of Republican opponent.

A poll released by the shows her with a 13-point lead over her Republican opponent, , for the State Senate seat being vacated by retiring .

In a poll prepared by Anzalone Liszt Research for Morrison, the West Deerfield Township supervisor is preferred by 46 percent of the 400 likely voters while 33 percent like Friedman. The poll was taken between June 20 and 24 and has a margin of error of 4.9 percent.

The Friedman campaign did its own polling in July but has elected not to release the information, according to campaign manager Paul Miller.

“It’s not politically smart to release an internal poll,” Miller said. “It would be an understatement to say we are pleased with the results.”

According to the information released by Morrison’s pollsters, it shows her ahead of Friedman by double digits among men and women and in both Lake and Cook Counties. She also leads among all education levels from those with a high school education to people with post graduate degrees.

The Morrison campaign released a research memo from Anzalone Liszt but did not distribute the complete polling information.

Great - just what we need - more years of democratic control. I guess they haven't FINISHED running the state into the ground yet, they just need more time. As for those that say "this Democrat is different" - it really doesn't matter as Madigan and Cullerton will still be in charge then driving policy. The same can be said for Susan Garrett and Karen May - they like to put forth that they are "different", but the same crooks are still in control in Springfield.

Stop spending like the Democrats who keep handing out contracts to cronies would be a good start.

Ok Walter, what will change if ENOUGH republicans are put in office is that the same crooks (Madigan, Cullerton, etc) will no longer be in control and MAYBE the public sector crooks will be cut off as their dealer is out of power. So, the mere fact that a Republican will not vote for Madigan or Cullerton as leader of the House / Senate will put IL more towards the path of recovery.

That's one heck of a plan. We all know there's no crooks in the GOP.

Thanks for proving my point that the only GOP strategy is "we're not them".
