Plan Commission Follows Zoning Board; Approves Lifting of Age Restriction at Stonebridge

Recommendations of both boards will be sent to Village Board to vote at April 11 meeting.

Stonebridge Lake Bluff LLC is one step closer to having the age restriction lifted from its property.

Thursday night the Lake Bluff Plan Commission voted 4-2 to approve the request from Stonebridge and SunCal to lift the age restriction currently on the property. Their recommendation will be given to Village Board, which will likely vote on the issue at their next meeting on April 11.

On Wednesday, the held a similar public hearing regarding the removal of the age restriction. The ZBA voted 5-1 in favor of lifting the restriction.

According to Assistant to the Village Administrator Brandon Stanick, the ZBA public hearing drew a larger crowd than the Plan Commission, and only one member of the public addressed the Plan Commission. Janet Nelson spoke in favor of a family-friendly community at both hearings.
