Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Power Won't Be 100 Percent Until Weekend Ends

City of Lake Forest officials get word from ComEd.

officials are being told by ComEd that 90 percent of power will be restored to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff by Friday, July 15, and the remaining 10 percent by Sunday, July 17, after .

On power-related issues, the city noted:

  • As of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, residents/businesses in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff are still without power, including the and .
  • Although without power, Deerpath Golf Course and are open for business. Rec Center registration is taking place at City Hall, 220 E. Deerpath, and programs are taking place unless participants have been notified that they are not.
  • The stoplights at Deerpath/Hastings Road and at Deerpath/Golf Lane are not functioning due to the power outage.
  • from Laurel Avenue north to Alden Lane.
  • The city will pick up tree limbs/branches placed at the curb (no larger than 6 inches in diameter and 4 feet in length) at no charge through Friday, July 15.
  • You may bring material (no larger than 6 inches and diameter and 4 feet in length) to the Compost Center this weekend, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, but you must have a vehicle sticker and all Compost Center rules will continue to be in effect.
