Sprinkler Ban Extends to Lake Bluff Residents

Village follows Lake Forest restriction due to using its water while Lake Bluff's elevated tank is painted.

Lake Bluff residents have been placed under a sprinkler ban from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until further notice, according to a release from the village sent Wednesday afternoon.

Lake Bluff has been relying on the City of Lake Forest's water system for potable water while the village’s 1 million gallon elevated water tank has been receiving a new coat of paint. Village officials expect the paint project to be completed the week of July 25 unless there is an interruption from inclement weather.

Due to the current drought conditions, the City of Lake Forest has issued a daily sprinkler ban. As part of the agreement with Lake Forest, the Village has asked its resident to comply with the same restriction.
