More Lake Forest, Lake Bluff Homes Selling for $1.5 Million and Up

Luxury home sales are on the rise along the North Shore, according to a report by Chicago Real Estate Daily.

A greater number of expensive homes across the North Shore are selling as the real estate market continues to recover, and Lake Forest and Lake Bluff are no exception, according to Chicago Real Estate Daily

The website, which is part of Crain’s Chicago Business, reports that 197 North Shore homes have sold for $1.5 million or more so far this year, which is about 22 percent more than were sold during the same timeframe in 2012.

The current number includes 40 homes in Lake Forest — a 43 percent increase from 2012 — and five in Lake Bluff, which represents a 150 percent increase from last year.
