The Final Score: Lake Forest Academy 16, Northridge Prep 6 

Caxy Star Performers: Senior Julian Rutkowski smacked a walk-off, three-run homer. He went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

Other Notable Caxy Performances:  Keenan Johnson was 2-for-4 with a triple, RBI, 2 runs; Eric Clamage went 2-for-4, double, 2 RBIs, 2 runs; Graham Wick was 2-for-3, double, 2 stolen bases, RBI, 3 runs; Nick Ustaski went 1-for-3  with a double, 2 RBI, walk, and Taylor Jemilo was 2-for-4. Shane Penman earned a complete game victory on the mound (5 innings, 6 earned runs, 7 hits, 7 strikeouts, 3 walks).

Who’s Next: The Caxys visit Universal School at 11 a.m. Saturday (April 9) in Bridgeview.

The Bottom Line:  Caxy bats pounded Northridge for 16 runs on 14 hits. 

 

GIRLS' SOCCER

Caxy Star Performers: Goals were scored by Joanie Davis, Georgiana Wagemann, Jacqueline Meyers, Ella Petersen, and Lindsay Hanig.

Other Notable Caxy Performances: Sam Nelson chipped in two assists while Wagemann added one.

Who’s Next: The Caxys visit Antioch High School at 4:30 p.m. April 15.

The Bottom Line:  The defense of Erin Petersen, Kathleen Kennedy, Corry Lane, and Lauren Stevenson limited Grant’s shots on goal and controlled the pace of the game.
