Key Players: Lake Forest — Jordan Beck, quarterback; Andrew Clifford, quarterback; Owen Williams, running back; Trent Williams, linebacker; John Marwede, lineman; Nick Keefe, linebacker; Brandt Pfeifer, linebacker; Matt Wagener, linebacker, Jack Kutschke, lineman; Tommy Kutschke, lineman; Cam Douglass, receiver; Luke Bernardi, receiver; Phil Sheridan, secondary; Ben Warren, secondary; Baylor Broughton, kicker. Quote: "We still have a lot of work ahead of us. We lay an egg (Friday) and all of this is for naught. Then it's back to 'I told you so,' which a lot of people would like to say to our kids now." - Lake Forest coach Chuck Spagnoli.

Lake Forest Will Win: Fenton's aerial attack is bound to get some yards on the Lake Forest defense, but keeping them out of the end zone will be a key. That happens with the Scouts using their speed and quickness to harass Fenton quarterback Sean Havlovic, who has thrown multiple interceptions in past games. Lake Forest virtually shut Libertyville down in the second half, limiting the Wildcats to less than 50 total yards on offense. If Jordan Beck is able to play at quarterback and be effective despite his injured elbow, then the Scouts will be multi-dimensional and be able to attack the Bison from several directions. Owen Williams has proven to be a workhorse, carrying the team past Libertyville with an amazing 3 TD second half.

Fenton Will Win: The Bison have had all season to work with Otto Zeman's complex, pass heavy offense. Alan Geneva may be the best offensive player Lake Forest has faced all season. He has more than 800 yards receiving this season, and he is truly a playmaker for Fenton. Minimize his role, and the Bison are likely not as effective on offense. Their defense posted shutouts in their last two games, but they came against teams with losing records.

Intangibles: If strength of schedule is an indicator in this game, then Lake Forest has to have an edge. Fenton has enjoyed success in the Metro Suburban Conference, winning the last two titles before giving way to Glenbard South this year. This will be the Scouts' final home game of the season. From here on out, it's road games if they continue to advance in the 6A State playoffs. Last year they were able to close the home slate with a big playoff win over Shepard.
