Class of 2011's Donation Will Buy Signage At Upper Grade Center

School offers summertime program for children, ages 3 to 6.

School of St. Mary's Class of 2011 gave a class gift of  donation of $2,170, which will provide new signs for the Upper Grade Center campus on the northwest and northeast corners, as well as the west side of the school building.

The chicks are here!  For the past 21 days, St. Mary's second graders have waited with great anticipation for the six dozen chicken eggs to develop and hatch in their classrooms. During the incubation period, students learned how a chick develops within an egg, the life cycle of a chicken, and the different parts of an egg. Holding and observing the live chicks culminates this unit of study on embryology.

Once again the School of St. Mary will offer "Crusader Camp" programs for children, ages 3 to 6. The programs will run from June 13 to July 8. This summer's programs include: Lion, Tigers, and Bears (June 13-17), Junior Astronauts (June 20-24), Creepy Crawlers (June 27 to July 1), and Arctic Adventure (July 5-8).  During Crusader Camp, children will learn through hands-on activities, including games, songs, stories, and crafts. The camp will be held from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the two-day option and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the three-day option.  A new Lunch Bunch option, which gives campers an extra hour to eat lunch with their friends and extends playtime, is available from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For information or a registration form, contact Camp Director Lindsay Tamarri at ltamarri@schoolofstmary.org.
