It's that time of year.
Artists and crafters from throughout the region will bring their handmade wares and decorations this weekend to Crystal Lake South High School, where they will transform the cafeteria and adjoining hallways into a galleria of gifts.
The 38th Annual "A Country Christmas Arts and Craft Show" is sponsored by the Crystal Lake South Gators Boosters Club, and serves as a fundraiser benefitting student activities and athletics.
The show has gained such a following over the years that "regulars" mark their calendars long ahead of time with the date for the upcoming year's show.
This year, the juried artisan show - which means each crafter is carefully selected for uniqueness and quality - is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27 and 28.
The public is invited to come out and visit the various vendors who will be selling a selection of handcrafted items for the home and the holidays. The show typically offers such items as jewelry, handmade soap, handweaved baskets, holiday items, apparel, stationary, candy, decorations and more.
