Deer Path Art League Shows Local Work

Projects of students from elementary school, middle and high school students are on display at Gorton Center through April 26.

An emerging artists’ exhibit featuring the work of students in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff sponsored by the Deer Path Art League is on display through April 26 at the Gorton Center in conjunction with Youth Art Month.

Work by students from Lake Forest High School, Deer Path Middle School, Lake Bluff Middle School, Lake Forest Country Day School, Cherokee Elementary School, Everett Elementary School and Sheridan Elementary School are included.

“March is Youth Art Month and the Deer Path Art League loves hosting this annual event in our Gallery,” Gallery Director Rudy De Ram said. “The Emerging Artists Exhibit is a great way to showcase the talent of area students in a professional setting.  We encourage everyone to stop by and see the exciting art being created at schools in the community.”

Participating artists from Lake Forest High School are Erika Alfaro, Katie Bergmann, Paige Bourne, Ryan Cast, Elizabeth Chapman-Orr, Stephanie Coates, Genna Crofts, Victoria Dee, Tori Honour, Lynette Huang, Claire Jones, Ellyn Kennelly, Liz Kerndl, and Ryley Lenstrom.

Others from the high school are Martina Long, Danielle Marx, Patrick McGrail, Margaux Miller, Conner Morgen, Trent Mosier, Paige Muskat, Olinia Nguyen, Janet Oline, Helen Schlachtenhaufer, Katie Sorenson, Heather Stark, Jennifer Waldeck, Patrick Casey, Wyatt Goeks, Collin Guido, Lucas Sacherer, Max Simeck, Jeff Habjan, Spencer Welte and Henry Levy.

Offering their work from Deer Path Middle School are Lauren Abbatista, Kara Antonucci, Maggie Avery, Evan Brown, Jack Brush, Kelan Duff, Mary Kennelly, Luca Lazzaretto, Kyle Levin, Katherine Munns, Katie Nyland, Katherine Ragusa, Julianna Roman, Dominic Roti and Alex Winsor.

Cherokee students with work displayed are Nastia Belova, Thomas Upfold, Nicolette Ulrich, Dominick Ziaja, Austin Okada, Bella Griffith, James Pruett, Riley Hoskins, Meghan Matthys and Katie Gildersleeve.

Students from Everett are Andrew Lyons, Chen Chen Wan, Alexis Zitko, Morgan Saltzman, Anthony Mordini, Victoria Li, Samuel Eruklar, Chelsea Tsu, Taylor Cekay and Luci Bermel.
