Deer Path Brainstormers Perform ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

District 67 enrichment program puts together a Broadway spectacular.

Deer Path Middle School’s Brainstormers program performed the award winning Broadway musical “Fiddler on the Roof” last week featuring student talent and entertainment for the community.

The show first opened on Broadway in 1964 depicting changing traditions of Jewish life in Tsarist Russia in 1905. It was the first musical to have a performance run of more than 3,000 shows.

Brainstormers is a self-funded enrichment program sponsored by Lake Forest School District 67, according to information provided by the District. Many instructors are certified Lake Forest teachers.

“The program relies on cooperation between instructors, students and parents,” a release from the District said. “In some cases, particularly the drama productions, parent volunteers are necessary for the success of the program.”

Take a look at the photos of the students and, if you were there, feel free to add more.
