Deer Path Students Get Creative in High-Tech Classroom

"The Cube," a new high-tech space at Deer Path Middle School, was dedicated this week after five months of construction.

Students at Deer Path Middle School in Lake Forest District 67 have a cool new technology space, "The Cube," where creativity, communication and critical thinking collide.

The high-tech space, unveiled this week during an open house, features a green room for filming movies, three large monitors, iPads, computers, digital recording equipment and library bookshelves, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The project was funded through a $26,000 grant from the Spirit of 67 Foundation. A student committee worked with professionals and volunteers to review the design possibilities and select the final look, according to the organization's Facebook page, which features more photos from Tuesday's dedication.
