String Groove Will Perform at District 67 Schools

Partner with Bernie's Book Bank on February book drive.

Led by violinist Edgar Gabriel, String Groove takes the audience on a musical journey that transcends time, geography, and culture. This musical ensemble combines old-world music with new sounds to create a truly original 21st Century sound. With the violin/electric violin at the core of the instrumentation, the musicians demonstrate infectious, driving rhythms and syncopations that are influenced by a wide variety of musical genres, including classical, West African, Middle Eastern, Asian, Latino, jazz, folk, blues, and rock. This performance is organized by the APT and funded through a grant from The Spirit of 67 Foundation. String Groove will be performing at on Jan. 31, and schools on Feb. 1 and on Feb. 2.
