District 67 schools will close for Spring Break beginning at the close of the school day on March 23. Classes will resume April 2.

Deer Path Middle School welcomes Peter Lerangis, author of "The Dead of Night" on March 19. Lerangis will be sharing his stories and inspiration with fifth and sixth graders. The Lake Forest Bookstore is a partner on this program.

District 67 parents are encouraged to attend a Gifted Screening Meeting from 12:30-1:45 p.m. March 21 in the Lake Forest High School West Campus Board Room, 300 S. Waukegan Road. Colleen Brueggeman, director of Gifted Services, will share information about the District's gifted and enrichment programs. If you are unable to attend the meeting, there will be a power point presentation posted on the district website following the meeting. If you have specific questions to be answered before the session, call Brueggeman at (847) 235-9665.

The March Board of Education Meeting for District 67 will be held at 7 p.m. March 20 Lake Forest High School West Campus Board Room, 300 S. Waukegan Road. Check the district website for additional information. Board agendas are posted on the district website: http://www.lf67.org as well as minutes from previous meetings. Board meetings are also taped and then shown on LF City Channel 17 throughout the month at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 a.m. Wednesdays.
