District 67 Students to Celebrate Earth Week

Sponsored by the APT, along with Lake Forest Open Lands, this weeklong event encourages students and the community to focus on environmental awareness.

Family Sharing Night for Everett and Sheridan Schools will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 6:30-7:15 pm.

Cherokee will hold their Sharing Night on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:30-7:15 pm. Family Sharing Night is a time for all elementary school students to share their classroom and school experiences with their families. Art, IRC, Music, Wellness, World Language and classroom instructors will be available to visit with families.

District 67 students will celebrate Earth Week beginning Monday, April 21. Sponsored by the APT, along with Lake Forest Open Lands, this weeklong event encourages students and the community to focus on environmental awareness. Activities include Open Lands "The Play Out" day at Mellody Farm Nature Preserve on Monday, as well as designated days to conserve water, reduce CO2 emissions, and turn off electronics.

The April Board of Education Meeting for District 67 will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in the Board Room, Lake Forest HS West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Rd. The regular business of the Board of Education will not be conducted until 7:00 p.m. An Executive Session may be held prior to the conduction of regular business.

Board meetings are also taped and then shown on LF City Channel 17 throughout the month on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.

The Spirit of 67 will hold their Grant Reception on Thursday, April 25 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Board Room at LFHS West Campus, 300 S. Waukegan Road in Lake Forest. A Board Meeting and Officer Elections will be held prior to the reception.
