Lake Forest College Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Program
"The Message: Dr. King Speaks to Hip Hop"
This program will introduce the audience to four areas that Dr. King and Hip-Hop artists address through their music that are similar with Bryant K. Smith.
Bryant is the author of a social commentary on race relations in the United States entitled Black Not Blind, a book about the power of human potential entitled 5, and M.A.N.-U.P., How to Coach a Male into Manhood.
The program will also feature the Lake Forest College Choir with the return of The Voices of Inner Peace Gospel Choir.

The Office of Intercultural Relations, in collaboration with the Mohr Student Center Committee, presents the Martin Luther King, Jr. History Exhibit in the Mohr Student Center foyer. Participants can view transcripts of Dr. King's speeches that helped fuel his activism, hear original recordings of his speeches, and learn pertinent biographical information about Dr. King's life and enduring legacy.
The exhibit and program are both open to the public and free of charge.
