Lake Forest College Student Symposium

More than 130 students will participate in the 14th Annual Steven Galovich Memorial Student Symposium, a two-day event that celebrates scholarly research, intellectual rigor, and creative projects. Students will present class projects, senior thesis research, the results of lab experiments, off-campus study experiences, and more with their peers and the rest of the College community through a variety of talks, exhibits, panel discussions, performances, demonstrations, and posters. The event is free and open to the public. The full schedule will be available soon at the Student Symposium Web site at http://www.lakeforest.edu/academics/students/symposium/.

This year, the range of projects showcases a breadth of academic subjects that spans the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Topics include President Obama’s record of transparency, African American history in Lake Forest, Parkinson’s Disease research, the masculinity in the television show Mad Men, and more.
