Lake Forest College Student Symposium

Lake Forest College presents the 15th Annual Steven Galovich Memorial Student Symposium on Tuesday, April 10.
Students spend the day presenting and learning about a variety of fascinating topics from their peers. The Symposium brings all the members of our community together for a riveting day of scholarly and creative presentations, exhibits, debates, performances, demonstrations, and posters.

Members of the North Shore and Lake County communities are welcomed to campus to join us in this celebration of student scholarship and intellectual engagement.

Last year, we listened to presentations about the economics of ticket sales at Major League Baseball games and President Barack Obama's open government policy; neuroscience students gave a demonstration that explored the medical mysteries of the human brain and chemistry students presented a demonstration called "Flames, Fumes and Flashes: Students Fired Up about Chemistry"; students filled Calvin Durand Hall with their poster presentations on topics ranging from aromatherapy's affect on brain waves to research on Parkinson's disease.
